How to uninstall Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

You can uninstall Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery if you want to stop using our app.

While we don't offer the option to pause the subscription, you can uninstall the app if you need to take a break. We will save your settings and restore them when you re-install the app. Take a look at our Pausing your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery subscription article for more information.


Find your widget version

Depending on the widget version you are using, you will need to follow different uninstall instructions.


Widget versions 1 and 2

If you installed Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery after September 2021, your store is most likely on the Online store 2.0 versions of the widget. That would mean our app was installed through app embed, and uninstalling the app from the Apps section should remove the widget from your theme.

  1. In your Shopify admin, click Apps and then App and sales channel settings.

  2. Next to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Uninstall.

  3. If you would like to help us make the app even better, add the reason for deleting—we appreciate the feedback and strive to give you the best possible experience!

  4. Click Uninstall.

Uninstalling the app should remove the widget automatically.

If you're still seeing the widget, follow the rest of the article or contact us on [email protected]. We'd be happy to make sure no code is remaining on your theme.


Legacy versions

If you've been using our app before September 2021 and our support team didn't install any updates for you, our widget should be added to your theme with code. Before uninstalling the app, we recommend removing the code.

Please reach out to us at [email protected]—we’ll be happy to remove the widget for you. Only proceed if you are comfortable editing code yourself.

To remove the widget and uninstall the app, you will need to:


Remove the widget

  1. Within your Shopify admin click Online Store.

  2. On the theme you want to remove our widget from, click ... and then Edit Code.

  3. Open layout/theme.liquid file and remove the following code.

    {% include "storepickup" %}

  4. Click Save.

The widget should now be removed from your theme.


Remove supporting files

When the widget is installed, we add several files to your theme—we recommend deleting them when uninstalling our app.

  1. On the theme you want to remove our widget from, click ... and then Edit Code.

  2. Open the file snippets/storepickup.liquid and click the delete icon.

  3. Click Delete file.

  4. Open the file snippets/storepickup-addons.liquid and click the delete icon.

  5. Click Delete file.

  6. Open the file assets/storepickup.js and click the delete icon.

  7. Click Delete file.

  8. Open the file assets /storepickup.css.liquid or storepickup.scss.liquid and click the delete icon.

  9. Click Delete file.

Supporting files should now be removed.


Delete the app

  1. In your Shopify admin, click Apps and then App and sales channel settings.

  2. Next to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Uninstall.

  3. If you would like to help us make the app even better, add the reason for deleting—we appreciate the feedback and strive to give you the best possible experience!

  4. Click Uninstall.


Remove pickup and delivery rates

If you have manually created static pickup and delivery rates in Shopify > Shipping and delivery settings when you installed the app, or you were using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates, we recommend removing them if you're not offering pickup and delivery anymore.

  1. In your Shopify admin, click Settings and then Shipping and delivery.

  2. Under your general shipping profile, select your Store Pickup and/or Local Delivery shipping rates and delete them. If you have multiple rates for weight/pricing you will need to delete all of these.

Billing period

Your subscription for Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will be cancelled when you uninstall the app from your app section. However, you will not be charged until your usual Shopify bill date.


For instance, if you uninstall Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery on the 10th and your usual bill date is the 23rd, you will still see a charge for the app in this bill. After this period there will be no further billing from our app.

Please note, if you reinstall the app you will be asked to select a new plan from one of the current options. It will not be possible to reinstate a legacy plan.
