Delivery order limits let you restrict the number of delivery orders you can receive per day, or per slot.


Requirement

  • Delivery order limits are available on the Advanced plan or higher with Store Pickup + Delivery.

  • You need to have the delivery date or delivery date and time picker turned on.

To set your delivery order limits

  1. Within Store Pickup + Delivery, click the Locations tab.

  2. Click the location name you'd like to change.

  3. In the Local delivery section, click Edit settings.

  4. Find the delivery order limits section.

    • If you are only using the date picker

    • If you are using the date and time picker


Limiting the number of delivery orders per day

  1. Make sure you have the date picker turned on in Store Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local delivery.

  2. Under Limit orders, enable the Limit number of delivery orders per day.

  3. You can now add the maximum number of orders you can receive for each day you have delivery enabled on.
    They will be set to 0 by default, so make sure to add a higher number to each day you want to offer delivery on.

  4. Click Save.

The number of delivery orders will now be limited per day for this location.

If you have multiple delivery locations, please repeat this process on each of your locations.


Checking the delivery daily limit report

  1. Click the reports icon next to the daily limits for a specific day. In this example, we'll use Monday.

  2. Select a Monday in the calendar, and click search.

  3. The report will show all the orders made for that slot on that day, and note the number of remaining slots.


Limiting the number of delivery orders per time slot

  1. Make sure you have the date and time picker turned on in Store Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local delivery.

  2. Under Delivery slots, enable the Limit number of orders per delivery slot.

  3. You can now add the maximum number of delivery orders you can receive per slot.

  4. If you switch to different slots each day of the week, you can add different delivery slot limits for them, too.

  5. Click Save.

The number of delivery orders will now be limited per slot for this location.

If you have multiple delivery locations, please repeat this process on each of your locations.


Checking the delivery slot limit report

  1. Click the reports icon next to the slot limit you'd like to check. For example, Monday, 9-10 slot.

  2. Select a Monday in the calendar, and click search.

  3. The report will show all the orders made for that day, and note the number of remaining slots.


Features

  • Cancelled/deleted orders do not count towards order limits

  • Editing order's date, time and location will update the limits


Limitations

  • Orders will be counted towards the limits only if they have our attributes (if not, order will not appear in Zapiet dashboard).

  • This feature only works with the settings Every day of the week and Specific days of the week. The Specific dates of the year option is not yet supported in the limits feature.

Your maximum order limit may be exceeded:

  • If multiple customers are checking out at the same time it's possible that they both select the last available slot for a given day.

  • If you are using abandoned checkout email notifications. Make sure to follow our Abandoned checkout emails article to avoid this issue.
