Delivery product availability

You can select which products are available for delivery from certain locations—you can offer all products, specific products, specific collections, specific tags, specific product types, or specific vendors.

To check delivery eligibility only for the locations where the items in the cart are in stock instead, you will need to use the Shopify inventory integration.

Connecting Shopify inventory with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will ensure that only the delivery locations that have the required inventory available at the time of ordering will be eligible for delivery validation.

Set up product availability

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Locations.

  2. Select the location you want to edit.

  3. In the Local Delivery section, click Edit settings.

  4. Go to the Product availability section.

You can set up product availability according to your business needs:

All products

If all active products can be delivered from this location, select All products and click Save.

Specific products

  1. If you offer only certain products for delivery, select Specific products.

  2. Click Select products.

  3. Tick all the products that are available for delivery from this location.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Click Save.

Now only the selected items will be available for delivery from this location.

Specific collections

Requirements

  • You need to be on the Pro plan or higher

  • You can only add manual collections, as automated collections will not update when new items are added

  1. Select Specific collections.

  2. Click Select collections.

  3. Tick the collection(s) that should be available for delivery from this location.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Click Save.

Now only the selected collection(s) will be available for delivery from this location.

Specific tags

Requirements

  • You need to be on the Pro plan or higher

  1. Select Specific tags.

  2. Add a product tag and click +Add tag.

    • Tags are case-sensitive. That means that “Shipping” and “shipping” are different tags.

  3. You can add multiple tags, if needed.

  4. Click Save.

Now only the products with selected tag(s) will be available for delivery from this location.

Specific product types

Requirements

  • You need to be on the Pro plan or higher

  1. Select Specific product types.

  2. Add a product type and click +Add product type.

  3. You can add multiple product types, if needed.

  4. Click Save.

Now only the selected products type(s) will be available for delivery from this location.

Specific vendors

Requirements

  • You need to be on the Pro plan or higher

  1. Select Specific vendors.

  2. Add a vendor and click +Add vendor.

Values added here are case-sensitive so make sure the value matches your vendor exactly.

  3. You can add multiple vendors, if needed.

  4. Click Save.

Now only the products by selected vendor(s) will be available for delivery from this location.

Limitations

  • If you want to switch between Specific products and Specific collections, you must first delete the saved specific products.

  • You can only add manual collections for product availability when using Specific collections, as automated collections will not update when new items are added.

  • Deleting a collection takes a couple of minutes—it may still be selectable after it's deleted.

  • When you add a new product to the collection using Specific collections, the collection will be removed from the product availability and needs to be re-added in locations settings.

  • If you are offering specific products from different locations, your customers will still be able to add them in the same cart, but won’t be able to check out.

    • As a workaround, you can add the collection tag to your products. You can add those tags to the cart, so your customers would know which products they need to remove in order to check out.

    • Alternatively, you can hire a Shopify expert to find a better solution. For example, you can create a home page where customers would select the collection location first, and then won’t mix their products.

  • Tags are case-sensitive. That means that “Shipping” and “shipping” are different tags.
