We recommend using apps like Intuitive Shipping when you have more complex rate needs, like product-based rates, date-based rates, or any other more advanced scenarios.

If you would like Intuitive Shipping rates to show only for certain checkout methods, we recommend integrating Intuitive Shipping with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

This guide is for Version 2 of Intuitive Shipping. If you are not sure this is the right version, take a look at our Intuitive Shipping version guide.

Intuitive Shipping can be used for your delivery, shipping, and/or pickup rates.

Integration steps will be slightly different, depending on the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates version that you're using:

Requirements

  • In order to use third-party app rates, Shopify requires you to have Carrier-Calculated Shipping enabled. Read more in our Carrier-Calculated Shipping article.

  • All products that require shipping need to be marked as a Physical product in Shopify.

Enable Intuitive Shipping with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates

  1. Click Apps, then Intuitive Shipping.

  2. Within the Intuitive Shipping app, click Settings, and then Partner integrations.

  3. Find Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery in the integration partners, and click enable integration.

  4. To set Intuitive Shipping rates for different checkout methods, click Shipping, then Scenarios.

  5. Select the scenario you'd like to edit.

  6. Go to Conditions and click Set restrictions.

  7. Click Add another condition.

  8. Replace Product tag with Delivery type.

  9. Ensure the middle field is set to equals, and choose the delivery type you want this scenario to apply to. You can choose multiple options here.

  10. Click Save.

  11. Go to Shipping rates and services and click edit.
If you have not yet created a rate, create one now.

  12. Click Show additional display settings.

  13. Add a Service code for your checkout method.
If this rate should show for:

    • Shipping rates, then add the code spd-shipping

    • Delivery rates, then add the code spd-delivery

    • Pickup rates, then add the code spd-pickup

  14. Click Save and repeat for all rates in this scenario.

  15. Repeat steps 5-14 until all scenarios have been assigned a delivery type and all rates have been assigned a service code.

Your Intuitive Shipping rates should now be generating—you can now test them.

  • If you've selected Delivery type equals local delivery, these rates will show when your customers select delivery in the widget.

  • If you've selected Delivery type equals shipping these rates will show when your customers select shipping in the widget.

  • If you've selected Delivery type equals pickup, these rates will show when your customers select pickup in the widget

Using Intuitive Shipping for both delivery and shipping

If you would like to use the same rate for both delivery and shipping, you need to duplicate it and add spd-delivery to one rate and spd-shipping to another rate. If you add both delivery codes to one rate, for example spd-delivery,spd-shipping it will not work.

If you offer multiple rates for delivery, you will need to add a numerical value at the end of each delivery code.

    • If you have added pickup rates in Intuitive Shipping, remove the pickup rates.

  3. Click Save changes.

Your duplicate rates are deleted now, and the only rates generated will be coming from Intuitive Shipping.
