If you would like Canada Post rates to show only when your customers select shipping in our widget, we recommend integrating Canada Post in the Rates tab of Store Pickup + Delivery app.



Requirements

  • You will need to have an active account with Canada Post

  • You will need your Key number (username:password) from your Canada Post Developer Program account.

    • Log in to the Canada Post Developer Program website using the username and password for your Canada Post Solutions for Small Business account. Select your account number from the dropdown list.

    • On the Welcome page, copy the username and password that appear in the Production section of the API Keys table. These are included in the Key Number.

    • The Key Number includes two parts. The first part is your username, and the second part is your password (username:password).


Notes

  • For any questions about the rate value, please contact Canada Post—we're only showing the rates they are generating.

  • Store Pickup + Delivery does not have the ability to show discounted Shopify rates—only Shopify can offer discounted rates. However, if you integrate Canada Post in Shopify, the rates will show for all of your checkout methods, as Shopify isn't aware of the methods selected in our app.


Enable Canada Post rates

  1. Go to Apps, and then click Store Pickup + Delivery.

  2. Go to the Rates tab.

  3. Go to the Shipping section and click Advanced Options.

  4. Find Canada Post and click Add carrier.

  5. Paste your username, password (from the Key Number) and account number, and tick Enable Canada Post rates.

  6. Add handling fees if needed, and click Save.

Your Canada Post rates should now be generating through Store Pickup + Delivery when your customers select shipping in the widget—you can now test them.


Disable shipping rates

  1. Within Store Pickup + Delivery, open the Rates tab.

  2. Within the Shipping section, click Edit next to your shipping zone.

  3. Click Delete zone.

  4. Confirm to delete this shipping zone.

Your Store Pickup + Delivery shipping rates are deleted now, and the only rates generating for shipping will be coming from Canada Post.


Prevent duplicate rates

When your Canada Post rates are generating through Store Pickup + Delivery, we recommend removing Canada Post as the carrier from Shopify shipping and delivery settings.

  1. Go to Shopify Settings and then Shipping and delivery.

  2. Under General shipping rates, click Manage.

  3. Delete Canada Post as a carrier if it's added in your domestic shipping zone.

Only Store Pickup + Delivery should be added as a carrier under your domestic shipping zone. Then, our app can control which rates to show at checkout, depending on the checkout method selected in our widget.


Disable Canada Post rates

  1. Within Store Pickup + Delivery, open the Rates tab.

  2. Find Canada Post integrated under the Shipping section, and click Edit.

  3. Untick Enable Canada Post rates.

  4. Click Save.

Canada Post rates will no longer appear when selecting delivery or shipping in our app.
