Blackout dates prevent customers from selecting delivery on specific dates of the year. This is useful for holidays, or other specific days when your shop is closed.
Shipping date picker must be enabled. Follow our guide on Configuring shipping days in order to enable it.
Add blackout dates
To add blackout dates, follow our video tutorial or the written steps.
In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings.
Find the Blackout dates section. Click Select a date to begin adding blackout dates.
After you have selected a date, click + Add date.
If you want to select a range of blackout dates, select the start date and the end date. When done, click + Add date.
After you have added all of your blackout dates, click Save.
Your dates will be grouped by months. Click a month to reveal individual dates.
Your customers won't be able to select shipping on those dates.
Remove shipping blackout dates
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings.
Find the Blackout dates section.
Select the month which contains the date you want to remove.
Click the trash icon next to the blackout date(s) you want to remove.
Blackout dates will not be applied to your date restricted products if the date restricted product is the only one in the cart. If your customer has a mixed cart in this scenario, they will not be able to check out.
Example: Product A is a regular product with a blackout date on March 1st. Product B is a date restricted product, available only on March 1st.
Product B only in the cart—March 1st available (blackout date not applied)
Product A only in the cart—March 1st is not available (blackout date applied)
Product A and B in the cart—no dates available
