Blackout dates prevent customers from selecting delivery on specific dates of the year. This is useful for holidays, or other specific days when your shop is closed.

Requirements

Add blackout dates

To add blackout dates, follow our video tutorial or the written steps.

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Click Shipping.

  3. Find the Blackout dates section. Click Select a date or a date range to begin adding blackout dates.

  4. After you have selected a date, click + Add date.

  5. If you want to select a range of blackout dates, select the start date and the end date. When done, click + Add dates.

  6. For easier management, you can filter your dates by months and years. Click All months and select the month you would like to view.
We will only show the months and years you have added.

  7. Click All years and select the year you would like to view.

  8. Click Save.

Your customers won't be able to select shipping on those dates.

Remove shipping blackout dates

Alternatively, you can use arrows to find needed dates.

  4. Select the dates you want to remove.

  5. Click Delete selected.

  6. Click Save.

Limitations

  • Blackout dates will not be applied to your date restricted products if the date restricted product is the only one in the cart. If your customer has a mixed cart in this scenario, they will not be able to check out.

    • Example: Product A is a regular product with a blackout date on March 1st. Product B is a date restricted product, available only on March 1st.

      • Product B only in the cart—March 1st available (blackout date not applied)

      • Product A only in the cart—March 1st is not available (blackout date applied)

      • Product A and B in the cart—no dates available
