Activate Orkestro as your last mile delivery provider

Orkestro is creating a network that facilitates the exchange and trade of last-mile delivery services.

To automatically send your orders to Orkestro, we recommend connecting your Orkestro account to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

If you are using the legacy integration and disable Orkestro, you will only be able to enable the new Orkestro integration.

Both versions have the same functionality.


Requirements

  • You need to be on the Essential plan or higher with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

  • You must have an active Orkestro account and API key.

    • You can generate an API Key for your store by following the article here.

  • You must have our delivery date and time picker enabled.

    • Enable this in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local Delivery.

    • Delivery slots must be at least an hour long (e.g. 9:00AM-10:00AM, 2:00PM-5:00PM).


Activate Orkestro

  1. Click Settings, then Last mile delivery.

  2. Click Activate Orkestro.

  3. Enter your Orkestro API key and click Save.

Orkestro has now been activated—to finish setting up, you need to configure your settings.


Configure settings

  1. Set the requirements according to your business needs.

    • Do not rotate

      • Whether or not the package can be rotated

    • Flag orders as fragile

      • Whether or not the item is fragile

    • Order contains hot food

      • Whether or not the delivery contains hot food

    • Order contains liquid

      • Whether or not the delivery contains liquid

  2. Select a pickup time.
    This is how long before the delivery window starts the driver will collect the order.

  3. Add a support email address.
    This will be used to notify you if there is an error when scheduling an order.

  4. Select the locations Orkestro should handle deliveries for.
    Not all locations need to be selected if you're using more than one delivery service.

  5. For all ticked locations, you need to add a contact name and a valid contact phone number.

  6. You can choose to add tracking details to each order.
    With this setting enabled, your orders will automatically be fulfilled in Shopify.

  7. Click Save.

Orders should now be sent to Orkestro when they are created. If you are creating test orders, make sure your pickup and delivery addresses are different.


Disable Orkestro

If you would like to stop using Orkestro, you can disable it.

  1. Open Settings and click Last mile delivery.

  2. Find Orkestro and click Configure settings.

  3. Click Disable Orkestro.

Your Orkestro integration is now disabled, and orders will not be sent to Orkestro.


Limitations

  • Orkestro sandbox environment does not work with the integration with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery—it is production only.

  • You cannot add a phone number to your delivery location out of the box—please contact us at [email protected] so we can add the phone number for you if needed.
