Jitsu [formerly known as AxleHire] provides a last-mile delivery service for your local delivery orders.

To automatically send your orders to Jitsu, we recommend connecting your Jitsu account to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

Requirements

  • You need to be on the Essential plan or higher on Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

  • Your store must be located in the US.

  • You must have an active Jitsu account and API key.

    • Contact your Jitsu account manager and ask them for an API key to use with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

  • You must have the delivery date and time picker enabled within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

    • Enable this in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local Delivery.

  • The phone number field in the checkout should be a required section. You can set this in Shopify admin > Checkout > Customer information.

Activate Jitsu

  1. Click Settings then, click Last mile delivery.

  2. Click Activate Jitsu.

  3. Enter your Jitsu API key and click Activate Jitsu.

Jitsu has now been activated—to finish setting up, you need to configure your settings.

Configure settings

  1. Set the requirements according to your business needs.

    • Delivery proof proto required

      • Indicates whether a photo is required as a proof of delivery.

    • ID required

      • Indicates whether your deliveries require proof of ID.

    • Signature required

      • Indicates whether driver must receive a signature from the recipient.

    • SMS enabled

      • Indicates whether the recipient should receive SMS updates for their delivery.

  2. Add a support email address.
This will be used to notify you if there is an error when scheduling an order.

  3. Select the locations Jitsu should handle deliveries for.
Not all locations need to be selected if you're using more than one delivery service.

  4. For all ticked locations, you need to add a contact name and a valid contact phone number.

  5. You can choose to add tracking details to each order.
With this setting enabled, your orders will automatically be fulfilled in Shopify.

  6. Click Save.

Orders should now be sent to Jitsu when they are created. If you are creating test orders, make sure your pickup and delivery addresses are different.

Configure rates

Our Jitsu integration does not currently provide dynamically calculated rates. You should instead create your delivery rates within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery or integrate another compatible carrier.

Configure Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates

Requirements

  • All products that require shipping need to be marked as a Physical product in Shopify.

  1. Click Rates.

Disable Jitsu

If you would like to stop using Jitsu, you can disable it.

  1. Click Settings, then click Last mile delivery.

  2. Find Jitsu and click Configure settings.

  3. Click Disable Jitsu.

Notes

  • Canceled orders in Shopify will also be canceled in Jitsu.

Limitations

  • Customers cannot use third-party sales channels such as Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are using the correct API key.

  • Add a Contact name and Contact phone number to all locations Jitsu handles deliveries for.

  • Add a support email address to get notifications about failed orders.
