Google Calendar is a time-management and scheduling service.

You can connect Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery to Google Calendar, in order to see your orders with pickup, delivery or shipping details in your Google calendar.

Requirements

  • You need to have an active Google account

  • You need to be on the Advanced plan or higher with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

  • You need to have the checkout methods (Store pickup, Local delivery or Shipping) you want to use enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings.

  • You need to have the date pickers enabled for the checkout methods you are using.

Enable Google Calendar

To enable Google Calendar, follow our video tutorial or the written steps.

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery click Settings, then External services.

  2. Find Google Calendar, and click Sign in with Google.

  3. This will open a new tab, where you'll need to sign in with your Google account.

  4. Select all permissions and click Continue.

  5. Google Calendar settings within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will now open.
You will only see the checkout methods that you have enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings, and locations that have pickup/delivery enabled.

  6. Connect a calendar for your pickup orders per location.
We will only show the locations that have pickup enabled.

  7. Connect a calendar for your delivery orders per location.
We will only show the locations that have delivery enabled.

  8. Connect a calendar for your shipping orders.

  9. Tick Show order total in event description, if you want to show the order total in Google Calendar.

  10. Click Save.

You have now successfully integrated Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery with Google Calendar.

Create a test order

Create a test order with each of the checkout methods to test the integration.

The order should show in your Google calendar similar to below, including all the details from Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

If you edit the order details in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, they should change in the calendar.

Import orders

You can import past orders created before you integrated Google calendar, provided that they were made for future dates.

Make sure to connect your locations to the calendars first.

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery click Settings, then External services.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Import orders button.

  3. In the pop-up, click Confirm, import orders.

All of your past orders made for future dates will be imported in the calendars you have connected to your locations and checkout methods.

Refresh calendars

To make sure all of your calendars show in the dropdown menu, click the Refresh calendars button after creating new calendars in Google Calendar.

Disable Google Calendar

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery click Settings, then External services.

  2. Find Google Calendar, and click Manage Calendars.

  3. Within the Google Calendar settings, click Disconnect Google Calendar.

The calendar will now be disconnected.

Limitations

  • Changes made in Google Calendar will not be transferred to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery—the connection only works from Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery to Google Calendar.

  • You can import past orders created before you integrated Google calendar, provided that they were made for future dates.

  • Draft orders will only be sent to Google Calendar after they have been marked as paid and a real order is created.

    • If the draft order has been marked as paid, add Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery details to the real Shopify order created from this draft order, not the draft order.

  • The integration is only available in English.

  • The template for the notification added to the calendar cannot be changed. For more custom integrations, you can connect to Google Calendar through Zapier.

  • When using Recharge, future subscription orders will only appear in Google Calendar after they are created and processed in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
