Blackout dates prevent customers from selecting delivery on specific dates of the year. They can be set up individually for each location, or in bulk.

Requirements

  • Delivery date picker must be enabled.
You can check this setting in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local delivery, under date and time pickers.

Add blackout dates to individual locations

To add blackout dates, follow our video tutorial or the written steps.

  1. Click Locations.

  2. Click the location name you want to add a blackout date to.

  3. In the Local delivery section, click Edit settings.

  4. Find the Blackout dates section. Click Select a date or a date range to begin adding blackout dates.

  5. After you have selected a date, click + Add date.

  6. If you want to select a range of blackout dates, select the start date and the end date. When done, click + Add date.

  7. For easier management, you can filter your dates by months and years. Click All months and select the month you would like to view.
We will only show the months and years you have added.

  8. Click All years and select the year you would like to view.

  9. Click Save.

Your customers won't be able to select delivery on those dates.

Repeat this process for all of your locations where you want to use blackout dates.

If you have multiple locations where you want to use the same blackout dates, follow the Add blackout dates for multiple locations section.

Add blackout dates to multiple locations

  1. Click Locations.

  2. Select the location(s) you want to add the bulk blackout dates, or select all.
You can select up to 10 locations at once.

  3. Click Add blackout dates.

  4. Select the checkout method(s) you want to apply the blackout dates to.

  5. Choose if you want to add dates, or replace the existing dates.

  6. Select a date or a date range and click + Add date(s). You can add multiple ranges this way.

  7. You can delete dates by selecting the date(s) and clicking on Delete selected.

  8. When you're happy with all the dates, click Add dates.

This may take a little while, depending on the number of your locations. When all dates have been added to locations and checkout methods, you will see the “Outlets updated successfully” message.

Remove delivery blackout dates

  1. Click Locations, then click the location name you want to remove the blackout date from.

  2. In the Local delivery section, click Edit settings.

  3. Find the Blackout dates section.

You can select the month, where you want to remove blackout dates. Click All months and select the month you would like to view.

Alternatively, you can use arrows to find needed dates.

  4. Select the dates you want to remove.

  5. Click the Delete selected.

  6. Click Save.

Repeat this process for all of your locations where you want to remove blackout dates.

Limitations

  • You cannot remove blackout dates in bulk, only add and replace.

  • You can select up to 10 locations at once.

  • Blackout dates will not be applied to your date restricted products if the date restricted product is the only one in the cart. If your customer has a mixed cart in this scenario, they will not be able to check out.

    • Example: Product A is a regular product with a blackout date on March 1st. Product B is a date restricted product available only on March 1st.

      • Product B only in the cart—March 1st available (blackout date not applied)

      • Product A only in the cart—March 1st is not available (blackout date applied)

      • Product A and B in the cart—no dates available
