Restricting orders on Shopify POS

All orders will be available on all of your POS locations by default. If you have multiple locations, you can restrict order access depending on the location.


Requirements

  • You need to be on the Pro plan or higher with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

  • Set up Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery tiles on your Shopify POS.


Restrict orders by location

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings then Staff and permissions.

  2. Select Restrict orders by location.

  3. Connect your Zapiet locations to their Shopify POS counterparts, to manage pickup and delivery orders.

    • You can connect only one Zapiet location to one POS location.

  4. Since shipping orders are not connected to a location, decide if you'd like all of your locations to be able to manage shipping orders, or select only one.

  5. Click Save.

Staff members can only view and manage orders for their location by clicking the View pickup and delivery orders tile.


Disable order restrictions

You can disable POS order restrictions, if needed.

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings then Staff and permissions.

  2. Select Order restrictions disabled and click Save.

Orders for all locations can now be managed by all staff members.


Limitations

  • These staff permissions settings apply only on Shopify POS. All orders from all locations will be visible when viewing on Shopify Mobile or in Shopify > Apps.

  • If the Zapiet location is not connected to a POS location, those orders will not be visible by POS.

  • You can connect only one Zapiet location to one POS location.
