We recommend using apps like Intuitive Shipping when you have more complex rate needs, like product based rates, date based rates, or any other more advanced scenarios.
If you would like Intuitive Shipping rates to show only for certain checkout methods, we recommend integrating Intuitive Shipping with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
This guide is for the Legacy version of Intuitive Shipping. If you are not sure this is the right version, take a look at our Intuitive Shipping version guide.
Intuitive Shipping can be used for your delivery and/or shipping rates.
If you want to use it for pickup rates, you will need to change to Version 2.
Requirements
In order to use third-party app's rates, Shopify requires you to have Carrier-Calculated Shipping enabled. Read more in our Carrier-Calculated Shipping article.
All products that require shipping need to be marked as a Physical product in Shopify.
Enable Intuitive Shipping with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates
Ensure that Intuitive Shipping is added to your Shopify shipping profile.
Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates can be integrated with any third-party rates app that allows you to edit the rates delivery code.
We suggest reaching out to the Intuitive Shipping customer support team. Ask them to set the rate delivery code to include spd-delivery
for delivery rates, spd-pickup
for pickup rates, or spd-shipping
for shipping rates.
Enable Intuitive Shipping with Carrier-Calculated Shipping rates
In order to integrate Intuitive Shipping in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, you will need to find your Intuitive Shipping API key.
Go to Apps, then click Intuitive Shipping.
Within the Intuitive Shipping app, click Settings > Partner integrations.
Copy the API key.
Go to Apps, and then click Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Go to the Rates tab.
Depending on the section where you'd like to integrate Intuitive shipping rates, go to the Delivery or Shipping section and click Advanced options.
Find Intuitive Shipping and click Add carrier.
Paste the API key and tick Enable Intuitive Shipping rates.
Add handling fees if needed, and click Save.
Your Intuitive Shipping rates should be generating through Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery now—you can now test them.
If you've integrated it in the delivery section, they will show when your customers select delivery in the widget.
If you've integrated it in the shipping section, they will show when your customers select shipping in the widget.
Disable Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates
If you are using Intuitive Shipping rates only, we recommend disabling Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery delivery rates, and/or removing any shipping zones in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery shipping section.
Only Intuitive Shipping should be added as a carrier within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Disable delivery rates
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, open the Rates tab.
Within the Delivery section, click Disable delivery rates.
Confirm to disable rates.
Click Save.
Your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates are disabled now, and the delivery rates will be coming from Intuitive Shipping.
Disable shipping rates
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, open the Rates tab.
Within the Shipping section, click Edit next to your shipping zone.
Click Delete zone.
Confirm to delete this shipping zone.
Your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery shipping rates are deleted now, and the only shipping rates will be coming from Intuitive Shipping.
Prevent duplicate rates
When your Intuitive shipping rates are generated through Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, we recommend removing Intuitive Shipping as the carrier from Shopify shipping and delivery settings.
Go to Shopify Settings and then Shipping and delivery.
Under General shipping rates, Click Manage.
Delete Intuitive Shipping as a carrier if it's added in your domestic shipping zone.
Only Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery should be added as a carrier under your domestic shipping zone. Then, our app can control which rates to show at checkout, depending on the checkout method selected in our widget.
Disable Intuitive Shipping
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, open the Rates tab.
Depending on where you've integrated it, find Intuitive Shipping under the delivery or shipping section.
Click Edit.
Untick Enable Intuitive Shipping rates.
Click Save.
Intuitive Shipping rates will no longer appear when selecting delivery or shipping in our app.
Make sure to add your delivery and shipping rates within our app or Shopify, to make sure your customers can check out. You can take a look at our Rates setup guide for more information.
Troubleshooting
If you're not seeing Intuitive Shipping rates:
Check you have followed the correct instructions for your version
Check if the correct API key is added
If you're in test mode with Intuitive Shipping, make sure you're following their instructions for testing
