With our delivery validation feature, you can validate if the customer is eligible for delivery. Depending on what the customer enters in the widget, a matching delivery location will be selected on the back end.
You can choose between four delivery validation methods:
Customer within max radius (Google Maps API needed)
Customer within max driving distance (Google Maps API needed)
If you don't need this feature, it can be set to no validation.
Select the delivery validation method in the general app settings.
Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local delivery
The delivery validation method you select in the general settings will apply to all locations.
The postal codes/distances are location specific and should be set within each location.
Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Locations
No validation
With no validation selected, all of your customers will be able to proceed to checkout, regardless of their postal code or address.
No validation method can be used if you have only one delivery location, as only one location (first created) will be selected on the back end.
If you have our delivery date and time picker enabled, your customers will need to select their preferred date and time before clicking check out.
Open the Apps section in your Shopify admin and click Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click the Settings tab.
Click Local delivery.
Scroll down to the Distance validation section and locate the Validation field.
Select No validation.
Click Save.
Changing the wording in the widget
If you are using no validation, you will need to change the wording in the widget.
Go to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings, and click Text and Design.
Under the Delivery Widget section, find the Instructional text (optional) field.
You can remove the text altogether or change the wording to "Pick a date." or "Pick a date and time", depending on your settings.
This is the instructional text that will show before the calendar.
In the same Local delivery section, search for User has not selected a location, date or time (if required).
Remove the "zip code" wording from the text and edit the wording to match your settings.
This is the error that will show if your customers forget to enter the date and time before clicking checkout.
Click Save.
When you change the wording, this is how your widget would look with no validation.
