If you have some products that require longer preparation time than others, you can use the product-specific preparation time.


Requirements

  • You need to be on the Advanced plan or higher with Store Pickup + Delivery

  • You need to enable preparation times within the location settings


Enable Product-specific preparation time for store pickup

  1. Within Store Pickup + Delivery, click the Locations tab.

  2. Click the Location Name.

  3. Under the Store pickup section, click Edit settings.

  4. Make sure that the Pickup preparation time is enabled.

  5. Find Product-specific pickup preparation time, and click Add pickup preparation time.

  6. Select the products which need specific preparation time.

  7. Set the product-specific preparation time. This needs to be longer than your general pickup preparation time.

  8. Click Save on the pickup preparation times screen.

  9. Click Save in the location settings.


Enable Product-specific preparation time for local delivery

  1. Within Store Pickup + Delivery, click the Locations tab.

  2. Click the Location Name.

  3. Under the Local delivery section, click Edit settings.

  4. Make sure that the Delivery preparation time is enabled.

  5. Find Product-specific delivery preparation time, and click Add delivery preparation time.

  6. Select the products which need specific preparation time.

  7. Set the product-specific preparation time. This needs to be longer than your general delivery preparation time.

  8. Click Save on the pickup preparation times screen.

  9. Click Save in the location settings.


Limitations

  • This feature is not currently available for shipping.

  • Product-specific preparation times need to be longer than your general preparation times.

    • For example, all of your products need 1 day to be ready (general prep time), but then you have a few custom cakes that take 3 days to prepare (product-specific prep time).

  • Specific product preparation times do not have a cut-off time.
