AntsRoute is an all-in-one solution to manage your routes, from smart planning to drivers’ progress tracking.

This article shows how to set up the integration in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

For further details on how to set up the integration in AntsRoute, please refer to Set up the AntsRoute integration with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery for Shopify article by the AntsRoute team.

Requirements

Activate AntsRoute

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings then Fleet management.

  2. Click Activate AntsRoute.

  3. Enter your AntsRoute API key and click Activate AntsRoute.

AntsRoute has now been activated—to finish setting up, you need to configure your settings.

Configure settings

  1. Select the delivery Type.

    • The Regular Delivery is the best option if you use only one Zapiet location as a warehouse (starting point) for local delivery. Please note that the address of the AntsRoute location and the address of the Zapiet location must be the same for optimal route optimisation.

    • The Pickup & delivery option allows you to manage orders from multiple Zapiet pickup locations before the delivery. To optimise this option, you need to be on the Pro plan with AntsRoute.

  2. Add Duration, if needed.

    • Indicates the time in minutes required to unload goods and hand them to the customer.

    • If the field is left blank, the default value will be 10 minutes.

  3. Add custom names for Weight and Number capacities, if needed.

    • Custom names should be used if your store is in other language than English.

  4. Add custom names for other fields, if needed.

    • Create custom fields in AntsRoute with the same title (default or translated) to activate them and display in order details. Then, insert your version or translation of the field name in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

  5. Add a support email address.
This will be used to notify you if there is an error when scheduling an order.

  6. Select the locations AntsRoute should handle deliveries for.
Not all locations need to be selected if you're using more than one delivery service.

  7. For all ticked locations, you need to add a contact name and a valid contact phone number.

  8. Click Save.

Orders should now be sent to AntsRoute when they are created.

Custom attributes for Pickup & Delivery type

If you selected the Pickup & Delivery type while setting up the AntsRoute integration, you can add extra information about the pickup location to improve the order route optimisation.

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Locations.

  2. Click on one of the locations selected during the previous step.

  3. In the Custom attributes field, enter the values needed.

    • The Custom attribute 1 is the pickup duration at the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery location.

      • By default, it’s 10 (minutes). The value must be a positive integer. For example, 12.

    • The Custom attribute 2 is the pickup time slot at the Zapiet Location.

      • By default, it’s 00:00-23:59. The format must be HH:HH-MM:MM. For example, 08:00-10:00.

    • The Custom attribute 3 is the pickup comments. This field is used to add some instructions for delivery drivers about the delivery or the customer.

  4. Click Save.

The information is then displayed in the details of a Pickup & Delivery order on AntsRoute.

Disable AntsRoute

If you would like to stop using AntsRoute, you can disable it.

  1. In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, open Settings and click Fleet management.

  2. Find AntsRoute and click Configure settings.

  3. Click Disable AntsRoute.

Your AntsRoute integration should now be disabled.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are using the correct API key.

  • Add a contact name and contact phone number to all locations AntsRoute handles deliveries for.

  • Add a support email address to get notifications about failed orders.
