Widget settings lets you control how the Zapiet Eats widget looks and behaves for your customers.
Click Settings.
Click Widget settings.
Edit the settings relevant for your store that are listed below.
Click Save.
Location
If you use the Ordering page, set App proxy address search provider to control which provider powers address autocomplete. Automatic uses Google Maps in regions where OpenStreetMap data is limited.
Tick Allow customers to select delivery location to let customers choose their delivery location. If this is off, the closest location is assigned automatically.
Tick Enable custom Google Maps API key if you want to use your own Google Maps API key instead of ours, then click Manage to add it.
Set Geolocation country to the country your store is located in, to improve geolocation accuracy.
If you don't use the ordering page:
Tick Enable pick-up map to show the pick-up location on a map on the widget.
Tick Enable delivery map to show the delivery address on a map on the widget.
Tick Allow customer to adjust location to let customers move the map pin to fine-tune their delivery address.
Location types
Create and manage location types to organize your locations, and let customers filter by category in the widget (for example, Food Truck, Full Service, or Pop-up).
Click Add location type to create a new type, or click an existing type in the list to edit or delete it.
Tick Sort by location type, then by distance to group locations by type first, then order them by distance within each type.
If this is off, locations are sorted by distance only.
Tick Filter by location type (pick-up) to show a filter on pick-up search so customers can narrow the list to one or more location types.
Tick Filter by location type (delivery) to show the same filter on delivery search.
Widget
Show order notes field
Display the order notes field automatically when the widget loads, instead of requiring the customer to turn it on.
Delivery option order
Drag to reorder the delivery option tabs shown in the widget.
Preselect first available date and time
When enabled, the first available pick-up or delivery slot will be automatically selected, to speed up checkout.
Show apartment unit field for delivery
Display an apartment/unit field for delivery orders, and tick Require apartment unit field to make it mandatory.
Show location name for delivery
Display the location name in the widget's top bar.
Show location address
Display addresses on the widget's location list.
Max locations for driving distance
Higher values improve driving distance accuracy by checking more locations, but increase Google Maps API costs.
Once Show location address is turned on, an Address format field appears where you can edit the format of the address shown in the widget.
Variables are wrapped in double curly braces, so, for example, you can remove {{postcode}} if you don't use postcodes.
If you don't use the Ordering page:
Disable automatic modal popup
Stop the widget's modal from opening automatically when the page loads.
It can still be opened using the openModal() JavaScript API, or by adding #open-modal to the page URL.
When Disable automatic modal popup is on, you can set custom Top bar button label text for pick-up, delivery, and dine-in.
Leave these blank to use your existing pickup, delivery, and dine-in translations.
This doesn't change the buttons inside the widget itself.
Menu
Tick Automatically reset product availability daily so product availability resets at the start of each day.
Turn this off if you want to manually re-enable products after marking them unavailable.
Tick Tag items based on menu section to automatically tag products with their menu section's name, so you can add a filter for it in your theme.
