Zapiet Eats sends customer-facing notifications and internal emails about order status changes.

Shopify notifications don’t include our app's details by default. You can update your order confirmation email to include these details.

Order confirmation email template

Customers will receive this email from your store (through Shopify) when they place an order.

You can update your order confirmation email with Zapiet Eats details.

  1. Click Shopify Settings, then click Notifications.

  2. Click Customer notifications.

  3. Click Order confirmation.

  4. Click the button below to download the Order Confirmation template.

  5. Click Edit code.

  6. Copy and paste the code from the downloaded file into the Email body field and click Save.

To see how the templates look, please create a test order. Our attributes cannot show in a preview because no date is selected.

Your order confirmation emails should now look similar to the image below.

Recommended email setup based on your order acceptance mode

Automatic order acceptance

If the Automatically accept incoming orders setting is enabled, the customer will also receive an Order Accepted email from Zapiet Eats. Receiving two emails immediately after placing an order can be confusing.

Suggestion: We recommend disabling the Order Accepted notification from Zapiet Eats.

You can then customize the subject and content of the Shopify order confirmation email to serve as both the Order Accepted and Order Confirmation notifications.

Manual Order Acceptance

If your restaurants manually accept orders, we suggest editing the Shopify order confirmation template to include a message such as:

Your order is confirmed. You will receive another email shortly indicating whether your order has been accepted or declined.

Suggestion: In this case, we recommend enabling the Order Accepted notification.
