We recommend managing bookings in the Reservations tab. From there you can confirm requests, seat guests, mark service as finished, cancel bookings, or mark a guest as a no show.
Considerations
Staff need permission to use Reservations.
At least one restaurant must have Enable table reservations turned on. See Restaurant reservation settings.
Reservation statuses
A reservation can have one of these statuses:
Pending payment — The guest still needs to pay a deposit.
Awaiting confirmation — Waiting for your restaurant to confirm the booking.
Confirmed — The booking is confirmed.
Seated — The guest has been seated.
Completed — Service for this booking is finished.
Cancelled — The booking was cancelled.
No show — The guest did not arrive.

If Google Calendar is connected, bookings are added or updated when you create, change, or reschedule them. Cancelled and no-show bookings remove the linked calendar event.

Notes
When you cancel a booking or mark a no show, you can choose whether to email the guest. Confirming a booking sends the confirmation email automatically when emails are turned on. For full details, take a look at our Reservation notifications guide.
Each booking keeps an activity history so you can see when it was created, confirmed, seated, completed, cancelled, or marked as a no show.
You can also manage bookings from Shopify POS. Take a look at our Managing reservations in Shopify POS guide.
To send Slack messages or other automations when bookings change, take a look at our Automating reservations with Shopify Flow guide.
Limitations
Guests booking online must provide a full name, email address, and phone number. Bookings created in Zapiet Eats can omit email or phone.
Guests booking online can mention allergies in Special requests. Staff can add allergy or diet details in Zapiet Eats or on POS.
Zapiet Eats does not assign a specific table number. Capacity is managed by tables and guests per time slot in restaurant settings.
