You can choose to manually accept your new orders, or have them accepted automatically. You can also postpone the order, or reject it.
To hear notifications for new orders, you need to manually enable the audio each time the page is refreshed. This is a limitation of browser audio permissions.
Select the method for accepting orders
Click Restaurants.
Click the name of the restaurant you want to edit.
In the Operations section you can choose to manually or automatically accept orders.
If you automatically accept all orders, then when a customer creates an order, it will be accepted immediately.
If you manually accept orders, then you must manually accept or reject orders.
Click Save changes.
Now you have set how your store will accept orders.
Automatically accept incoming orders
When you get a new order, it will automatically be accepted. You can still cancel an order, which will then be cancelled and refunded in Shopify.
Manually accept incoming orders
When you get a new order, it will stay as “New” until accepted or rejected. Rejected orders are automatically cancelled in Shopify and refunded.
If you close the restaurant from the order dashboard, all orders that haven't been accepted will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
To manually accept new orders, follow the steps below. If the order dashboard is open when a new order is placed, the order will automatically pop up.
Click Orders.
If needed, filter your orders to show the "New" orders.
Click the more options button, and then the New status.
Select the order you would like to edit.
Accept or Cancel the order.
If you need to Delay the order, add the extra time needed to prepare the order and click Accept.
The order is now accepted or rejected. For more information, take a look at our Order management guide.
Notes
