Give your staff specific permissions in Zapiet Eats

You can give your staff specific permissions on orders, restaurants, menus, reports, and settings.

You can check the order timeline to see which staff member has changed the order status, and the time stamps for each change.


Requirements

  • Your staff members should have valid Shopify staff accounts.

    • This can be managed at Shopify Settings > Staff and permissions.


Enable staff permissions

  1. Click Settings, then Staff and permissions.

  2. Click Enable Staff Permissions.

Your staff permissions are now enabled. Now, you need to add staff accounts.


Add staff accounts

  1. In Staff and permissions section, click Add staff account.

  2. In the Email section enter the staff emails separated by a comma.

  3. Tick all the permissions that those staff member(s) should have. You can select from: Orders, manage restaurants, menus, reports, settings, and staff.

  4. Select whether staff member(s) should have access to all restaurants or only certain ones.

  5. Click Send invite.

Staff member(s) will receive a notification email confirming their permissions.


Automatically grant orders permission

If you have a custom email domain, you can grant your staff members automatic access.

  1. Click Settings, then Staff and permissions.

  2. Tick Automatically grant orders permission.

  3. This field will be prepopulated with your custom domain based on the email added to your Shopify account. If the domain is incorrect, you can edit this field.

  4. Click Save.

Now every staff member who has a valid email with this domain will be able to accept, decline and manage orders in Zapiet Eats.


Edit staff account permissions

If needed, you can change staff accounts permissions at any time.

  1. Click Settings, then Staff and permissions.

  2. Select the staff account you want to edit.

  3. Add or remove permissions.

  4. Click Save.

Staff member(s) will receive a notification email confirming their updated permissions.


Delete staff accounts

If needed, you can delete staff accounts to stop them from accessing Zapiet Eats.

  1. Click Settings, then Staff and permissions.

  2. Select the staff account you want to delete.

  3. You can select multiple accounts.

  4. Click Delete members.

Selected staff accounts will be deleted, and they will no longer have access to Zapiet Eats. They will be able to request the access again. If you wish that those staff members should not be able to request access again, you can deactivate their Shopify staff member accounts.
