Zapiet Eats can email customers when an order is accepted, ready, completed, or declined. It can also email your team when a new order is placed or cancelled.
Use this article to turn templates on, edit the wording, and set the sender address. Table reservation emails live on the same page when reservations are enabled.
Before you begin
Add at least one location and turn on Pick-up, Delivery, or Dine-in.
For team emails, open the location and enter addresses under Team notifications. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
Staff who edit templates need permission for Settings.
Open Notifications
In Zapiet Eats, go to Settings > Notifications.
Review Customer notifications and Team notifications.
Customer emails are sent when you change the order status in Zapiet Eats. Team emails are sent to the addresses you entered on each location.
Set the sender and design
In General settings, enter the Sender email.
In Design, add a Logo image if you want a logo on the emails.
Set Logo width (pixels) and Set accent color if needed.
Click Save.
The Sender email receives replies to customer and team emails. To also send from that address, complete email authentication with DKIM. Until authentication is verified, Zapiet Eats sends from its own email address and directs replies to your configured address.

What customers and staff receive
Customers receive the customer templates you leave enabled when the matching order status changes. Staff receive team emails only if the location has at least one address in Team notifications.
Shopify may also send its own order confirmation. If you accept orders automatically, review whether you still want the Zapiet Eats Order accepted email.
