Manage cancellation reasons

Add the reasons staff select when they cancel an order in Zapiet Eats.

Written by Andy Cargill

Cancellation reasons are the labels staff choose when they cancel an order. Consistent reasons make the Cancellations report easier to read.

Use this when you want staff to pick a named reason instead of typing a different explanation each time.

Before you begin

  • Staff who edit reasons need permission for Settings.

  • Staff who cancel orders need permission for Orders.

How staff use reasons

When staff cancel or reject an order on Orders, they select one of these reasons. Staff can also choose Other and enter a custom explanation. The saved description can be included in the customer notification, so write it for the customer. See Accept and manage orders.

You can review cancelled orders and their reasons on Reports > Cancellations. See Use reports.
