After you've created a restaurant, you will need to set up your delivery settings. Delivery settings are restaurant specific.

Delivery settings

  1. Click Restaurants.

  2. Click the restaurant you want to edit.

  3. In the Local Delivery section, click Enable.

Local delivery is now enabled for this location and you can access restaurant-specific delivery settings.

If you already have local delivery enabled for a specific restaurant, click Edit settings to reveal delivery settings. You can now set up restaurant-specific delivery settings that will apply to the restaurant you're editing.

Delivery zone and pricing

We will add one delivery zone to every restaurant by default.

  1. In Delivery zones and pricing section, click Zone 1.

  2. Edit the Zone name, if needed.

Now, you can continue setting up your delivery zone. You can set:

Minimum order value

You can enable delivery depending on the order value.

For example, you want to disable delivery for order values less than £20.

Customers that have less than £20 in the cart will not be able to check out with delivery.

Estimate delivery time

If you need additional time between a customer ordering and their delivery slot, you can add estimate delivery time. By default, we set it to 20 minutes.

For example, you want to make sure you have 40 minutes to deliver the order.

Estimate delivery time will be applied in the time picker in our widget. The first available delivery time will be 40 minutes later than the current time.

If you have preparation time added to your menu, the first available time will be prolonged by the time you need to prepare your order.

Delivery area

You can check if the customer is eligible for delivery.

Maximum radius method checks the address that your customers entered in the widget. That address will need to be within the allowed radius for the customer to be able to check out.

Maximum driving distance method checks the address that your customers entered in the widget. That address will need to be within the allowed driving distance for the customer to be able to check out.

For example, you want to offer delivery to customers within 10 km from your store.

Customers with addresses outside your delivery range will not be able to select delivery date and time in our widget.

Delivery pricing

The pickup and delivery rates set in Zapiet Eats will not be automatically added to the Shopify > Shipping and Delivery shipping profile.

For the rates to work, Zapiet Eats rates should not be added to the shipping profile in Shopify > Shipping and Delivery.

  1. In Delivery pricing section, add the delivery rate for this restaurant.

  2. You can Enable free delivery on higher value orders, if needed.

  3. Add the order amount that qualifies for free delivery.

  4. You can edit the rate name.

  5. Click Save.

Repeat the process to create as many zones as you need.

The delivery rate will be visible to your customers on the checkout page.

Slot frequency

Delivery slots are the delivery times your customers can choose from after selecting a date. You can set up delivery time slots by frequency. These settings need to be set up individually for each restaurant.

For example, you want to offer delivery slots every 30 minutes.

The delivery slots you have set up will now show in the date picker calendar in our widget.

Order tags

You can add tags that will only be applied to orders placed from specific restaurant(s).

The tag(s) you have created will be automatically applied to orders placed from this restaurant.
