Zapiet Eats is for local restaurant ordering. Customers can choose Pick-up, Delivery, or Dine-in. Zapiet Eats does not offer shipping to send orders through a national carrier.
If a customer asks about shipping, use Shopify shipping or another app. Do not add Zapiet Eats rates to a Shopify shipping profile as a shipping method.
What Zapiet Eats can do
Pick-up: the customer collects the order at a location. See Configure pick-up.
Delivery: you deliver locally from a location, using a radius, driving distance, or a drawn area. See Configure local delivery.
Dine-in: the customer orders at the table. See Configure dine-in.
For orders paid through Shopify checkout, the available local fulfilment methods depend on the service and location you configured in Zapiet Eats. A local delivery rate does not mean that Zapiet Eats supports national shipping.
Do not add Zapiet Eats to Shopify shipping
Manage local pick-up and delivery through the Zapiet Eats service settings. Do not create a national shipping offering using a Zapiet Eats local delivery rate.
Do not add those rates to a Shopify shipping profile to cover national shipping. Doing that can show the wrong method at checkout or hide the local pick-up and delivery options Zapiet Eats is meant to provide.
If you see a Zapiet Eats rate or carrier service in Shopify and are unsure why it is there, check with Zapiet support before removing it. Some local delivery integrations use a carrier service to return their rates. After changing the setup, place a test order for each local service you offer.
If you need shipping
Use Shopify's own shipping, or an app built for shipping. Zapiet Eats and a shipping app can conflict if both try to control checkout methods. See Check app compatibility.
