Shopify is moving shipping settings from Shipping and delivery into Markets. To keep managing your pickup, delivery, and shipping rates after your store moves, Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery needs permission to access Markets.
From January 2027, this permission will be required to keep using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery. We recommend approving it now to avoid any interruption to your rates at checkout.
What's changing
Currently, your shipping rates are set up in shipping profiles under Settings > Shipping and delivery in Shopify. With Shopify's new market-driven shipping, rates are set up inside each market you sell to instead.
Shopify is moving stores to the new setup gradually:
October 2026: Shopify started moving stores to market-driven shipping.
January 2027: The Markets permission becomes required to keep using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
July 2027: All Shopify stores will be on market-driven shipping.
You don't need to do anything in Shopify to prepare. Shopify moves your existing rates for you.
Why we need access to Markets
Once your store moves to market-driven shipping, your shipping settings are managed in Markets instead of shipping profiles. Without access to Markets, Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery can't keep your rates up to date in Shopify.
We use this permission to manage your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates in Markets, and to add the app to your markets so its rates show at checkout.
Grant access to Markets
In Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, go to the Dashboard or the Rates page.
In the Markets banner, click Grant permission.
Shopify will show a pop-up listing the permission. Review it and approve.
Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery can now keep managing your rates when your store moves to Markets.
New installs
If you're setting up Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery for the first time, you'll be asked for this permission in the setup guide.
In step 1 of the setup guide, select Set up default pickup and delivery rates.
Shopify will ask you to approve access to Markets. Review the permission and approve.

Who can approve the permission
The permission can be approved by:
The store owner.
A staff member with the Manage and install apps and channels permission, and the permissions the app requires.
If you see the request but can't approve it, ask your store owner to open Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery and approve it, or ask them to update your staff permissions in Shopify Settings > Users and permissions.
What happens when your store moves
When Shopify moves your store to market-driven shipping, your existing Shopify rates are moved into Markets automatically.
If you've granted access to Markets, Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery keeps managing your rates after the move. You don't need to recreate or change them.
If you haven't granted access by January 2027, you'll need to approve it to keep using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates.
