Use this checklist when setup is done and you are ready to take real customer orders. Each item points to the article that owns that job.
Do not go live until you have placed a test order and confirmed staff can find it on Orders.
Before you begin
Zapiet Eats is installed and a plan is active if Shopify billing is required.
You can edit Locations, Menus, and Settings.
Checklist
Location address. Each location has a complete address customers can understand. Open the location and click Save if you change it. See Create a location.
At least one service. The location has Pick-up, Delivery, or Dine-in enabled. Click Manage to confirm minimums, slots, and fees. See Configure pick-up, Configure local delivery, or Configure dine-in.
Menu published and scheduled. A published menu is attached to the location and available for the services you offer. See Schedule menu availability.
Shopify pick-up. If you offer Pick-up, the matching Shopify location has pick-up turned on. If Zapiet Eats shows Turn on pick-up in Shopify or Create this location in Shopify, finish that step first. See Create a location.
Ordering page or widget live. Customers can open the ordering page or use the widget on your theme. See Show the ordering page.
Notifications. Staff can receive new-order alerts for the location. Check Settings > Notifications and the location's Team notifications addresses. See Configure notifications.
Live status. If the Dashboard shows Go live, complete its prerequisites and click Go live. A preview alone does not open ordering to customers. See Complete your setup guide.
Test order. Place a test order for each service you offer (Pick-up, Delivery, or Dine-in) and click Accept order if acceptance is required. See Place a test order.
Hours and blackouts. Menu hours match when you can prepare orders. Add blackout dates for days you are closed. See Set blackout dates and Schedule menu availability.
After you go live
Watch Orders for the first real orders. Keep the location open during the hours you advertised. If a date should not be bookable, add it as a blackout date before customers start ordering.
