The Setup guide on your Dashboard walks you through setting up Zapiet Eats and tracks your progress. Follow the steps below to complete your remaining tasks and check that your store is ready for customers.
Before you begin
Zapiet Eats is installed and you can open the Dashboard.
You can create locations and menus, or a store owner can complete those tasks.
Open the setup guide
In Zapiet Eats, go to the Dashboard.
Open the Setup guide if it is collapsed.
Complete each remaining task, then return to the Dashboard.
The guide tracks progress and marks a task complete when that work is done in the app.
Add a location
A location is the physical place you prepare orders from. On first installation, Zapiet Eats imports Shopify locations that have a street address. Check Locations before creating a duplicate.
Open Add a location in the Setup guide.
Click Add a location, or Add additional locations if you already have one.
Enter the location name and address, then click Create.
Enable at least one ordering service on the location: Pick-up, Delivery, or Dine-in.

Design a menu
Open Design a menu in the Setup guide.
Click Create a menu and enter a menu name.
Create sections and add the products customers can order.
Publish the menu and assign it to a location.
Set its availability for each service you offer.
A menu needs products before the setup task counts as complete. Follow Create a menu for the complete workflow, then return to the Dashboard.
Preview your storefront
If the guide shows Preview your storefront:
Click Update permissions if it is shown, and complete the Shopify permission request.
Click Preview storefront to open your ordering page.
Check that your location, services, menu, and available times are correct.
Return to the Dashboard and click Add order button to your theme to give customers a way to open the page. See Show the ordering page.
If the guide shows Update theme instead, select your theme and click Preview in theme. Enable the Zapiet Eats app embed in Shopify and click Save. See Enable the widget on your theme.
Finish setup and go live
Some stores can preview the storefront before selecting a plan. A successful preview does not mean ordering is open to customers.
If Add a Google Maps API key is shown, click Add Google Maps API key and follow Create a Google Maps API key. Save the key before returning to the guide.
If Go live is shown, finish the required setup tasks. Click Select a plan when prompted, approve billing in Shopify, then return and click Go live.
If the storefront task shows Complete setup, click it after completing the prerequisites and checking your storefront.
If Complete setup is unavailable, check that the location and menu tasks are complete, required permissions have been granted, and any required Google Maps key has been saved.
Place a test order, confirm it reaches Orders, and work through the go-live checklist before promoting the store to customers.
