Marketplace apps such as Uber, Deliveroo, and Just Eat help new customers find you. Their fees and terms are separate from your Shopify store.
Zapiet Eats lets those customers order on your own Shopify store next time. You keep the customer relationship, set your own menu and times, and process payment through Shopify. Shopify, payment-provider, and Zapiet Eats charges still apply to your direct orders.
Manage marketplace orders in the marketplace app and direct orders in Zapiet Eats. There is no marketplace connection to set up in Zapiet Eats.
Before you begin
Follow Getting started with Zapiet Eats to set up ordering on your store.
Have a simple offer ready, such as a first-direct-order discount. See Create automatic discounts.
How the two channels work together
Use the marketplace to acquire a first order. Use Zapiet Eats for the next order.
The customer discovers you on the marketplace and places that first order there.
You fulfil the marketplace order as you do today.
Promote your Shopify ordering page through channels you control, following the marketplace's promotion rules.
Their later orders go through Zapiet Eats pick-up, delivery, or dine-in.
Zapiet Eats does not import marketplace orders onto Orders. Those orders stay in the marketplace app.
Point customers to your store
Pick one or two of these. Keep the message short.
Put your ordering page URL on your own website, signage, and permitted packaging inserts.
Add your website URL to the receipt footer if your printer supports it.
Offer an item or reward that is only available when customers order on your store.
If you run loyalty, tell customers stamps are earned on your store, not on the marketplace.
Keep the storefront ready
Before promoting your store, check that customers can complete an order:
Confirm pick-up or delivery is on for the location they will use.
Confirm the menu is published and scheduled.
Confirm the ordering page or widget is live.
Place a test order.
