Use Reservations to manage your day's bookings. Add phone or walk-in reservations, confirm requests, and keep track of which guests have arrived and finished their visit.
Not every action is offered on every booking. A request that is waiting for confirmation can be confirmed or declined. A confirmed booking can be seated, cancelled, or marked as a no-show.
Before you begin
Enable table reservations on the location. See Getting started with table reservations.
Staff need Reservations permission for that location.
Open the timeline
In Zapiet Eats, go to Reservations.
Select a location, or keep All locations.
Use Today or the date controls to pick a day.
Click a booking to open it.
You can search by guest details and filter by Status.
Create a reservation
Use this for a phone booking or a walk-in you want on the timeline.
In Zapiet Eats, go to Reservations.
Click Create reservation.
Select a Location.
Enter Guest name.
Select Party size, Date, and Time.
Add phone, email, occasion, or special requests if you have them.
Click Create reservation.
The booking appears on the timeline for that date and time. Staff-created bookings are confirmed directly; the guest-facing request and deposit checkout flow is described in Let customers book a table.
Update status
Open the booking and use the next available action. Typical progression:
Click Confirm when the status is Awaiting confirmation.
Click Seat when the status is Confirmed.
Click Complete when the status is Seated.
You can click Edit details and then Save changes to update guest details or the time.
Cancel or mark a no-show
These actions depend on status:
Awaiting confirmation or Pending payment: click Decline.
Confirmed or Seated: click Cancel reservation, or Mark as no show.
Completed, cancelled, and no-show bookings are finished. They do not offer the next seating action.
When cancelling or declining, select a cancellation reason and click Continue. You can then choose Send the guest an email about this change and click Cancel reservation to confirm.
For a no-show, choose whether to send the guest an email, then click Mark as no show. Check the booking’s final status after either action.
Export
On Reservations, click Export.
Set From date and To date.
Click Export.
Large exports are emailed as a download link.
