Zapiet Eats can start a Shopify Flow workflow when a reservation is created, its status changes, or it is rescheduled. Use Flow for follow-up work that Zapiet Eats does not send on its own, such as a Slack message or an email.
Create and manage these workflows in Shopify Flow.
Before you begin
Install Shopify Flow on your store.
Enable table reservations so bookings exist to trigger the workflow.
Create a workflow
In Shopify Admin, open Flow.
Click Create workflow, then Select a trigger.
Choose Reservation created, Reservation status changed, or Reservation rescheduled from Zapiet Eats.
Add conditions to limit when the action runs, such as the party size or new status.
Add an action, such as an internal email or a message through an installed Slack connector.
Click Turn on workflow.
See Shopify’s workflow guide for the Flow editor. Test the chosen trigger with a booking and review the workflow’s run before relying on it.
Flow runs when the selected event occurs and any conditions match. Editing guest details alone is not a reservation status-change trigger.
Typical uses:
Notify a manager in Slack when a large party books.
Email the host stand when a guest reschedules.
Post to Slack when a booking status changes to completed.
The triggers provide reservation and location IDs, guest name and email, party size, date, time, and status. Reservation created also includes the booking source and guest phone. Reservation status changed includes the previous status and guest phone. Reservation rescheduled includes the previous date and time, but not the guest phone.
These triggers do not include a Shopify customer record, so they cannot directly supply the customer required by a customer-tagging action.
