Floor staff can open the Reservations tile to see today's bookings, add phone or walk-in bookings, and update each reservation as guests arrive and finish their visit.
The same bookings appear in Zapiet Eats on Reservations. Changes you make in POS update the timeline.
Before you begin
Add the Reservations tile. See Set up Shopify POS for Zapiet Eats.
Enable table reservations on the location linked to this POS.
Grant staff Reservations permission.
View bookings
On Shopify POS, tap Reservations.
Browse the day's timeslots, or tap Go to today.
Use the day controls to move to another date.
Search by name, phone, or reference if you need a specific guest.
Tap a booking to open it.
Create a reservation
Tap Create.
Look up a customer, or continue with a guest name.
Enter Party size, Date, and a time.
Add notes or dietary details if you have them.
Tap Create reservation.
The booking is added to that timeslot.
Update a booking
Open the reservation.
Tap the next available action, such as Confirm, Seat guest, or Complete.
To change details, tap Edit, update the fields, then tap Save changes.
To stop the booking, use Cancel reservation or Mark as no-show when those actions are shown.
Not every status action is available from every booking. A completed or cancelled reservation cannot be seated again.
Work offline
When POS loses its connection, the timeline can show previously loaded bookings. The You're offline banner identifies cached information and its last sync time. Status changes can show Pending sync until the connection returns.
Creating reservations, editing their details, and searching require an internet connection. Reconnect and check that pending changes have synced before relying on the updated status on another device.
