Translating the widget

Written by Clemency Farmer

The widget can be translated to multiple languages.

You will need to add the language in the app and use one of our compatible translation apps. Without a compatible translation app, the widget will stay in your default language.

Add a language

  1. Go to Settings > Languages.

  2. Click Add another language.

  3. Tick the language(s) you want to add.
We recommend adding only the default version of the language. For example, add English, instead of English (British) or English (Canadian).

  4. Click Add.

The language will now appear in the list of available languages you can translate in Text and translations.

If you offer multiple languages, you can also set a different language as default by clicking Image showing the meatball icon > Set as default.

Translate the widget manually

  1. Go to Settings > Text and translations.

  2. Select the Language you want to translate.

  3. Under the widget section you want to translate, click Show.

  4. Enter your translation for each piece of text.

  5. Click Save.

The translated text will now appear in the widget for customers browsing in that language.

For where to find the text for each widget (pickup, delivery, shipping, calendar and order status), see Changing the wording in the widget.

Translation apps

The widget will stay in your default language unless you use one of our compatible translation apps and follow its setup guide, if it has one.
