When using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, we recommend managing your orders in the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery Orders tab.
You can mark your orders individually, or in bulk.

We send follow-up emails for pickup and delivery orders, and you can use Shopify shipping confirmation email as an “order dispatched” notification. Take a look at our Email notifications article for more details.
Mark the orders individually
Pickup orders
There are three possible buttons to mark your pickup orders:
Mark as ready for pickup
The order should be marked as ready for pickup when you've prepared it.
This option will trigger the “Order ready for pickup” email notification.Enter security code
Enter the security code button will appear if you have turned it on in the settings. Learn more in our Pickup security code article.
Mark as picked up
The order should be marked as picked up when the customer has picked up the order.
This option will trigger the “Order picked up” email notification.
After you've marked the order as picked up, it will be marked as completed in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Fulfillment in Shopify
If you have the setting Mark as fulfilled once picked up enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Store Pickup, we will automatically fulfil the order in Shopify from the connected location when you mark it as picked up.
If you have Archive order once picked up setting enabled, Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will archive an order in Shopify as soon as it was fulfilled.
The stock will initially be deducted according to your priority location or Order Routing Rules when the order is created. When you mark the order as picked up, we will force Shopify to fulfil the order from the correct location and adjust the stock.
Fulfilment in Shopify triggers Shopify shipping confirmation. When you have all the pickup notifications enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, this notification will be disabled for pickup orders.
Delivery orders
There are three possible buttons to mark your delivery orders:
Mark as ready for delivery
The order should be marked as ready for delivery when you've prepared it.
This option will trigger the “Ready for delivery” email notification.Mark as dispatched
The order should be marked as dispatched when it's on its way to the customer (using a courier or your drivers).This option will trigger the “Out for delivery” email notification.
Mark as delivered
The order should be marked as delivered when the order has been delivered to the customer.This option will trigger the “Order delivered” email notification.
After you've marked the order as delivered, it will be marked as completed in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Fulfillment in Shopify
If you have the setting Mark as fulfilled once dispatched enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local delivery, we will automatically fulfil the order in Shopify from the connected location when you mark it as dispatched.
The stock will initially be deducted according to your priority location or Order Routing Rules when the order is created. When you mark the order as dispatched, we will force Shopify to fulfil the order from the correct location and adjust the stock.
Fulfilment in Shopify triggers Shopify shipping confirmation. When you have all the delivery notifications enabled in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, this notification will be disabled for delivery orders.
Shipping orders
Shipping orders will only appear in the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery dashboard if you are using the date picker or adding the shipping tags to your shipping orders.
There are three possible buttons to mark your shipping orders:
Mark as ready for shipping
The order should be marked as ready for shipping when you've prepared it.Mark as dispatched
The order should be marked as dispatched when it's on its way to the customer (shipped).
Mark as received
The order should be marked as received when the order has been delivered to the customer.
After you've marked the order as received, it will be marked as completed in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Fulfillment in Shopify
Shipping fulfillment is enabled on your store by default. Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will fulfil shipping orders from the first location in your Shopify Settings > Locations list. If you want it disabled, contact us on chat.
Fulfilment in Shopify triggers the Shopify shipping confirmation, which you can use as an “order dispatched” notification.
Undo order status change
You can undo an order status change for pickup, delivery, or shipping orders if the status was accidentally changed. Our app will revert both the order status and the fulfillment of the items if fulfillment is enabled.
You can undo an order status change in the Orders tab. Open the order that you want to edit, click More actions, then Undo order status change.
Marking the orders in bulk
You can mark your orders in bulk in the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Orders tab. When you select multiple orders, click Update status and select one of the options.
There are 3 options for marking your orders in bulk:
Mark as ready for pickup/delivery
This option can be used for all of your checkout methods when you've prepared them for pickup, delivery, or shipping.
This option will trigger the “Ready for pickup” and/or “Ready for delivery” email notification.
Mark as dispatched
This option should be used only for your delivery and shipping orders when they have been dispatched and are on the way to the customer.
This option will trigger the “Out for delivery” and/or Shopify shipping email notification.
If you have the setting Mark as fulfilled once dispatched enabled, we will automatically fulfil the order in Shopify from the connected location when you mark it as dispatched.
Mark as picked up/delivered
This option can be used for all of your checkout methods when they have been picked up, delivered or shipped to the customer.
This option will trigger the “Order picked up” or “Order delivered” email notification.
If you have the setting Mark as fulfilled once picked up enabled, we will automatically fulfil the order in Shopify from the connected location when you mark it as picked up.
Limitations
You cannot undo order status change in bulk.
If you are using the Bulk order status change, you will not be asked to enter the pickup security code, even if it's turned on.
When marking the orders in bulk, you need to use the Mark as dispatched setting only for delivery/shipping orders.
