Urb-it offers sustainable same-day and next-day deliveries for businesses in cities across the UK and France.
To automatically send your orders to Urb-it, we recommend connecting your Urb-it account to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Requirements
You need to be on the Essential plan or higher on Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery
You need to have an active Urb-it account, Urb-it API key + your Urb-it Bearer token.

You must have our delivery date and time picker enabled.
Enable this in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Local Delivery.
You need to offer delivery in one of these cities:
Activate Urb-it
Open Settings and click Last mile delivery.
In Urb-it, click Activate Urb-it.
Enter your Urb-it API key and click Activate Urb-it again.
When activated, re-enter the Urb-it API key and the Bearer token.
Click Save.
Urb-it has now been activated—to finish setting up, you need to configure your settings.
Configure settings
Add a support email address.
This will be used to notify you if there is an error when scheduling an order.Select the locations Urb-it should handle deliveries for.
Not all locations need to be selected if you're using more than one delivery service.For all ticked locations, you need to add a contact name and a valid contact phone number.
You can choose to add tracking details to each order.
With this setting enabled, your orders will automatically be fulfilled in Shopify.
Click Save.
Orders should now be sent to Urb-it when they are created.
If you are creating test orders, make sure your pickup and delivery addresses are different.
Configure rates
You can use Urb-it rates or Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates for your local deliveries.
Use Urb-it rates
Requirements
All products that require shipping need to be marked as a Physical product in Shopify.
Your store will need access to the Carrier Service API, and Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery will need to be added as a carrier to your domestic shipping profile.
For any questions about the rate value, please contact Urb-it—we only show the rates they generate.
In Delivery rates section, tick Enable Urb-it rates.
You can customize the rate name, and add a description if needed.
If you would like to offer free delivery over a certain value:
Tick the free delivery option.
Add the minimum order value over which delivery should be free.
If needed, add a handling fee.
You can read more about handling fees in our calculating handling fees article.Urb-it delivery rates are calculated without VAT included. We recommend adding the VAT percentage as the rate adjustment to ensure you do not lose money on delivery charges.
Click Save.
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, go to the Rates tab.
If you're using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates, in the Delivery prices section, click the trash bin icon to remove all delivery rates. Then, click Save changes.
If you're using rates with Carrier Service API, in the Delivery section, click Disable delivery rates. Then, click Confirm, disable rates and Save.
Your local delivery rates will only be generated by Urb-it now.
If you are creating test orders, make sure your pickup and delivery addresses are different.
Use Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates
Requirements
All products that require shipping need to be marked as a Physical product in Shopify.
If you're not using Urb-it for rates, the phone number field in the checkout should be a required section. You can set this in Shopify admin > Checkout > Customer information.
Click Rates.

Disable Urb-it
If you would like to stop using Urb-it, you can disable it.
Open Settings and click Last mile delivery.
In Urb-it, click Configure settings.
Click Disable Urb-it.
Your Urb-it integration should now be disabled. If you were using Urb-it rates, add new checkout rates in the Rates tab for Local Delivery.

Notes
When using Urb-it delivery rates, please contact Urb-it support for any questions about the rate value—we only show the rates they generate.
Urb-it delivery rates are calculated without VAT included. We recommend adding the VAT percentage as the rate adjustment to ensure you do not lose money on delivery charges.
Cancelled orders in Shopify will also be cancelled in Urb-it.
Limitations
Customers cannot use third-party sales channels such as Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest.
Troubleshooting
Ensure you are using the correct API key.
Add a Contact name and Contact phone number to all locations Urb-it handles deliveries for.
Add a support email address to get notifications about failed orders.
If you are testing rates, make sure to use different pickup and delivery addresses.
