Shipday is a delivery management software that lets you organize local deliveries with automated dispatch, real-time tracking, SMS notifications and more.
To automatically send your orders to Shipday, we recommend connecting your Shipday account to Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Both we and the Shipday team recommend removing the Shipday app when using our integration, as it causes duplicate orders in Shipday and doesn't support scheduled delivery.
Requirements
You need to be on the Essential plan or higher with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
You need to have an active Shipday account, and an API key.
Your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery locations need to have delivery date and time picker enabled. You can read more about it in our Delivery date and time pickers article.
Activate Shipday
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, click Settings and then Fleet Management.
In Shipday, click Activate Shipday.
Enter your Shipday API key, and click Activate Shipday.
Shipday has now been activated—to finish setting up, you need to configure your settings.
Configure settings
Add a support email address. It will be used to notify you if there is an error when scheduling an order.
Select the locations Shipday should handle deliveries for. Not all locations need to be selected if you're using more than one delivery service.
For all ticked locations, you need to add a contact name and a valid contact phone number.
You can choose to add tracking details to each order. With this setting enabled, your orders will automatically be fulfilled within Shopify.
Click Save.
Orders should now be sent to Shipday when they are created.
By default, we send the long Shopify order number to Shipday as the order ID. If you would like to send the short order number, for instance #1001, to Shipday instead, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Disable Shipday
If you would like to stop using Shipday, you can disable it.
Within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, open Settings and click Fleet management.
In Shipday and click Configure settings.
Scroll down and click Disable Shipday.
Notes
Cancel an order
If you need to cancel an order, please make sure that the order is unassigned. You can then cancel it in Shopify, and it will be automatically cancelled in Shipday.
Troubleshooting
Ensure you are using the correct API key—if you receive your API key through email, make sure it is not the encrypted password.
Add a Contact name and Contact phone number to all locations Shipday handles deliveries for.
Add a support email address to get notifications about failed orders.
If your orders aren’t going to Shipday, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
For any questions related to managing your orders within Shipday, please check out the Shipday integration page, or reach out to Shipday support.
