Now that you’ve built your options, it’s time to make them visible to your customers! We use Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 app blocks, which keep your store fast and your code clean.

Step 1: Enable the Product Options app block

The Product Options app block is what allows your customers to see and select their customizations on the product page.

  1. In Zapiet - Product Options, click Settings > Themes.

  2. Find the theme you want to edit. We always recommend testing on a duplicate theme first.

  3. Click Enable in the Product options app block section. This will automatically open the Shopify Theme Editor.

  4. Ensure the Zapiet - Product Options block is toggled to "on" in the sidebar.

  5. Click Save in the top right corner.

Step 2: Perfecting the placement

Placement is key to a great user experience. We want these options to feel like a natural part of your store.

  • In the Shopify Theme Editor sidebar, look for the Zapiet - Product Options block under the Product Information section.

  • Click and drag the "six-dot" icon to move the block.

  • Recommendation: Place the block directly above the Quantity selector or the Add to cart button so customers see it right before they buy.

Step 3: Enabling cart page edits (Optional)

Allow customers to change their minds without leaving the checkout flow.

  1. In the app settings, go to Themes and click Enable in the Cart page app block section. This will automatically open the Shopify Theme Editor.

  2. Ensure the Zapiet - Cart options block is toggled to "on" in the sidebar.

  3. Toggle the Show Edit Options in Cart to "on" as well.

  4. Click Save in the Theme Editor.

Success check

To verify your setup is working:

  • Navigate to a product in your online store that you assigned to an Option Group in Building your options: Creating your first set.

  • Check that the custom options (like text fields or swatches) are visible.

  • Try selecting an option and adding the item to your cart.

If the options appear and the data carries through to the cart, you are officially integrated!
