To set up your rates, you need to create zones which contain all the postal codes (zip codes, pin codes, postcodes) you deliver to.
If you’re using Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery, you still need to complete this step.
To set up Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code, follow our video tutorial or the written steps below.
Create your first zone
Click Zones & Rates.
Click Create a zone.
Enter the zone name and the zip codes, separated by commas.
The postal codes need to be unique to each zone. We don't support overlapping postal codes.
To cover a continuous block of codes, enter a range with a colon instead of listing each one, for example 69780:69900. Both ends must have the same number of digits, and the first must be lower than the second.
If you have a lot of zip codes, you may need to use partial zip code matching. The character limit for this field is 50 000, and using partial matching can reduce the number of zip codes you need to add.
Optionally, add excluded postal codes. These use the same format as the zip codes field, so you can exclude an exact code, a wildcard, or a range. An excluded code will never match this zone.
If you don't want the zone to be active yet, you can Disable it.
In the Shopify shipping zone field, select the corresponding delivery zone.
This setting will determine which Shopify shipping zone will receive rates from this Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code zone.
Click Create zone.
Repeat this process to create as many delivery zones as needed.
Notes
If you have a lot of zip codes, you may need to use partial zip code matching. The character limit for this field is 50 000, and using partial matching can reduce the number of zip codes you need to add.
Make sure the postal codes are unique to each zone.
Ranges work with numeric postal codes, including formats containing a hyphen such as Poland's 05-070:05-077. Alphanumeric codes, like UK and Canadian postcodes, don't support ranges, so use partial matching for those instead.
Postal codes normally have to be unique to each zone. If you want a postal code to be served by a different zone, exclude it from the first zone and add it to the second. If a postal code is excluded and no other zone covers it, no rate is shown at checkout.
Limitations
Deleted Shopify shipping zones will still appear in the shipping zone dropdown [Shopify limitation].
