After you've created a restaurant, you will need to set up your pickup settings. Pickup settings are restaurant specific.
Pickup settings
Pickup settings include minimum order value, preparation time, pickup validation and pickup order tags.
Click Restaurants.
Click the restaurant you want to edit.
In the Store pickup section, click Enable.
Store pickup is now enabled for this location and you can access restaurant-specific pickup settings.
If you already have store pickup enabled for a specific restaurant, click Edit settings to reveal pickup settings. You can now set up restaurant-specific pickup settings that will apply to the restaurant you're editing.
Minimum order value
You can enable pickup depending on the order value.
For example, you want to disable pickup for order values less than £20.
Customers who have less than £20 in the cart will not be able to check out with pickup.
Slot frequency
Pickup slots are the pickup times your customers can choose from after selecting a date. You can set up pickup time slots by frequency.
For example, you want to offer pickup slots every 15 minutes.
The pickup slots you have set up will now show in the date picker calendar in the widget.
Maximum radius
You can check if the customer is eligible for pickup. Maximum radius method checks the address that your customers entered in the widget. That address will need to be within the allowed radius for the customer to be able to check out.
For example, you want to offer pickup to customers within 10 km from your store.
Customers with addresses outside your pickup range will not be able to select pickup date and time in our widget.
Pickup pricing
The pickup and delivery rates set in Zapiet Eats will not be automatically added to the Shopify > Shipping and Delivery shipping profile.
For the rates to work, Zapiet Eats rates should not be added to the shipping profile in Shopify > Shipping and Delivery.
You need to set the pickup rate for orders coming from this restaurant.
In the Pickup pricing section, add the pickup rate for this restaurant.
You can Enable free pickup on higher value orders, if needed.
Add the order amount that qualifies for free pickup.
Edit the rate name, if needed. By default, it will include the name of the restaurant and an estimated pickup time (based on menu preparation time).
Click Save changes.
Repeat for all restaurants that offer pickup.
The pickup rate will be visible to your customers on the checkout page.
Order tags
You can add tags that will only be applied to orders placed from specific restaurant(s).
In the Pickup order tags section, you can enter tag(s) that will be automatically applied to every pickup order from that restaurant.
Tags are case-sensitive. That means that “Store Pickup” and “store pickup” are different tags.
To add multiple tags you will need to add them one at a time, and click the + Add tag button after each tag.
If you want to add a date tag to your pickup orders, select tag order with pickup date.
Select the date format for tags.
If you want to add a time tag to your pickup orders, select tag order with pickup time.
Select the time format for tags.
If you want to add a day of the week tag to your pickup orders, select Tag order with pickup day of week.
Click Save.
The tag(s) you have created will be automatically applied to orders placed from this restaurant.
